Director, Member Services and Acquisition

*This role can be located in Bentonville, AR or Dallas, TX.

Membership is core to the success of Sam's Club. As Director of Member Acquisition at Sam's Club, you will be an important part of the Membership team and vital to the success of Sam's Club. We're looking for a talented leader who will play a key role in growing the Sam's Club member count through acquisition campaigns and partnerships.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Sr Director of Membership Growth, this role is responsible for delivering new member acquisition through performance marketing, brand development, affiliate marketing, and partnerships. You will partner with Sam's Club Marketing to develop full-funnel marketing strategies that cultivate and acquire new prospects. You will work closely with multiple internal teams to launch highly effective promotional campaigns. You'll cultivate new partnerships and channels for member acquisition by working with other companies, third-parties and internal teams.

  • Lead member acquisition for a $75B retailer - a role that's vital for the business to succeed.

  • Build and deliver the member acquisition strategy in close partnership with internal marketing teams and ensure strong quarterly plans.

  • Create innovative new external partnership opportunities that provide incremental member growth.

  • Manage forecasts and actuals for membership growth and marketing budget.

  • Consistently deliver superior customer service to partners and be seen as a trusted thought partner demonstrating the Sam's Club values.

  • Develop, coach and mentor team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge, and work performance. Ensure associates are receiving learning and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 8 years' experience in marketing.

  • Ability to cultivate partnerships and consistently deliver results within a dynamic, fast-paced environmentwith high executive leadership visibility.

  • Experience managing others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from a top business school, with an emphasis in Marketing.

  • Experience in retail/eCommerce.

  • Excellent organization skills, and ability to lead multiple projects/responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated record of creative and structured approach to problem solving.

  • Passionate and driven collaborator and teammate.

  • A great sense of humor.
