As Director of Membership Performance & Innovation, you will be responsible for keeping a finger on the pulse of membership and building the future of membership offerings. What You'll Do
Reporting to the Sr Director of Membership Growth, this role will lead strategic initiatives such as:
Membership Performance: Bring clarity to the team and to leadership about the performance of Sam's Membership efforts (acquisition, upgrades, renewals, etc.). You will be the performance expert who is always on top of the numbers and can articulate what's happening, why it's happening, and what the team should do about it. You will drive performance discussions and guide the team in identifying emerging trends, enabling data-driven decisions as well as being our key stakeholder for Decision Sciences in further advancing our insights/analytics agenda.
Membership innovation: Identify projects/initiatives to improve member engagement and the expand the membership offering. Build a membership innovation pipeline by testing ideas, building the business case, driving alignment with leadership, and partnering with other functions to bring the ideas to life.
Member Value Proposition: Leverage data to understand our member value perception among prospects and develop strategies and tactics to help improve. Build or partner to develop and launch the tactics that our members will love.
Membership Vision: Build on current work by bringing additional insight and intel to help create the membership of the future, looking 3-5 years down the road. Identify emerging trends and potential opportunities, bring internal partners along, ensure we are thinking about the future of what can be and what should be.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
5+ years in retail, retail merchandising, operations management, loyalty/membership/subscription, or related fields
5+ years of leading cross-functional teams and proven success partnering cross-functionally
Ability to cultivate partnerships within a dynamic, fast-paced environmentwith high executive leadership visibility
Must thrive in managing and effectively influencing/partnering across large matrixed teams
Preferred Qualifications
Startup or new product/business experience and mindset
Excellent organization skills, and ability to lead multiple projects/ responsibilities
Demonstrated record of creative and structured approach to problem solving
Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
