Director, Corporate Finance Transformation Initiatives
Position Summary
The Director of Corporate Finance Transformation Initiatives is a key role on the Corporate/Enterprise FP&A team, working to achieve some of the company's most important finance transformation milestones. Focus areas will include S/4HANA upgrade, continued OneStream rollout/enhancements, Workforce Planning integration, and other process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key member of the project team responsible for S/4HANA SAP implementation. Represent the needs of the Corporate segment and work with the S/4 core team and other segment leads to support successful delivery of planned S/4 release milestones.
• Interface effectively with members of the Corporate segment and Enterprise FP&A teams to identify impacts that arise due to S/4Hana implementation; provide recommendations to remediate without interrupting core plan and forecast processes.
• Monitor and communicate enterprise S/4 project plans, milestones, requirements and status to corporate and Enterprise FP&A leaders in a timely manner; share feedback with core S/4Hana team as needed to ensure proper alignment and connectivity.
Serve as a trusted resource and advisor to Corporate Segment and Enterprise FP&A leaders on matters related to planning, reporting, and forecasting; identify and recommend opportunities for tech and process improvements in support of these workstreams.
Lead the implementation of tech enhancements and/or process improvements in support of Corporate Segment and Enterprise FP&A. Seek opportunities to optimize and integrate planning and forecasting tools, including OneStream, Workforce Planning, and SAP S4Hana.
Demonstrate respect for and adhere to company standards and core values (Service, Respect, Excellence, Integrity) by modeling these values personally, as well as integrating them into all programs and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 8+ years' experience in accounting, finance or relevant area, OR 10+ years' experience in leading development of accounting, finance, or related tools or systems.
• Experience working on large scale (company-wide) initiatives requiring collaboration across a broad range of roles and stakeholders.
3-4 years' experience working on a team designing or implementing enterprise-wide accounting or financial reporting systems or platforms
Strong oral and written communication skills - including the ability to proactively develop and deliver complex messages and technical requirements & issues in a simple, actionable way.
Team player who is a self-starter and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and can effectively manage multiple overlapping workstreams and deadlines
Customer-centric, passionate, and curious -- passionate about learning about and improving the experience of Walmart Finance associates with their planning and reporting tools & processes.
Ability to collaborate with the team to identify and help to implement solutions, not just highlight problems or obstacles for others to solve.
Familiarity with SAP and/or OneStream, or similar financial reporting tools
Nice to haves :
MBA or CPA
Experience in, or working with, Project- or Product-management roles associated with finance systems transformation
