The Infrastructure Services is a part of the larger Global Technology Platforms horizontal which is responsible for Design. Build, Deploy & Run for the Infrastructure Products and Services that enables the largest 24/7 e-commerce and physical stores landscape in the world.

Our engineers take great pride in their ownership of the Cloud Infrastructure & Networks along with the heterogenous EDGE environments and the Storage/Backup infrastructure which operates at high degree of efficiency to optimize the cost of service.

Our high performing Infrastructure Services Team offers the ability to proactively detect and repair products & services from failures, thus offering the best experience to our Customers, Merchants & Associates worldwide.

You’ll Sweep us off our feet if…
 

• You are focused on delivering Infrastructure capacity utilization Products & Services that enables our technology teams make best use of the infrastructure designated for their workloads supporting our Omni channel Customer Experience.
• You are focused on cost efficiency without impacting the online capabilities health and resiliency.
• You are focused on Continuous Improvement mindset.
• You are responsible for covering the Operational & Engineering aspects to all business segments and the diverse channels for Online & Apps across US, International markets & Enterprise Services.
• You have the availability commitment of our websites across markets is 99.95% for e-commerce and this role will have significant contribution to meet and beat the set target.
   

You’ll make an impact by:
 

• Driving an improvement of our capacity utilization efficiency across the board through observability capabilities, tools and processes your team will Gather, analyze, design, build and push for adoption.

• Developing and enhancing tools that allow us to accelerate what we are doing and build a platform that is sustainable with growth. 

• Influencing vision and strategies that increase our level of automation for service delivery, and operations at an extremely distributed scale. 

• Building a team environment by partnering to solve problems and staying focused till there is a solution

• Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to value streams, influencing, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership

• Providing overall direction by analyzing organizational objectives and needs.

• Plan and allocate resources within defined budgets.

• Coordinate the plans and activities of the organization with senior leaders inside and outside the department.

• Apply technical and process expertise to address challenging technical and business issues.

• Collaborate effectively with various functions such as Product, Design, Business, Operations, and other Engineering teams to gain commitments on improvement/remediation initiatives

• Be a multiplier: Build a high performing team with strong engineering-driven culture that promotes diversity, innovation, and creative problem solving 

• Possess a global mindset and develop a positive healthy environment while working internationally across cultures

• Actively lead and be engaged in technical discussions, project execution and incident management to ensure that we meet or beat the stated Availability goals

• Develop a deep understanding of the various Infrastructure Products & Services that come together to deliver Walmart e-commerce and stores products.

• You would provide leadership and mentoring to a highly skilled team on technical and critical functions within Walmart

• Actively participate in defining and refining the scope of Business Continuity & DR testing

Qualification:
 

• A recognized Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering with 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering & Operations.
• 10+ years of experience in managing, leading, and developing technical teams
• 5+ Experience as SW development manager
• Experience in Data Analytics and ML
• Extensive experience in cloud environments
• Ability to review & guide Technical Program executions or delivery of large infrastructure initiatives
• Experience investigating, analyzing and troubleshooting large scale enterprise systems.

Minimum Qualifications...

As permitted by applicable law, provide evidence of full vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines OR secure approval of medical or religious accommodation for the vaccination mandate., Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related field OR 8 years’ experience in software
engineering or related field.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
