What you'll do...

The Director of EH&S Item Compliance at Walmart is a critical thought-leadership role that will operationalize strategy to scale with rapidly expanding and evolving retail operations, enabling proper product storage, shipment, and end-of life disposition.

You'll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You've got seven or more years' experience managing corporate compliance programs

  • You've got the ability to conduct risk assessments and communicate effectively with business partners on regulatory and governance considerations

  • You're organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • You're highly motivated and customer focused

  • You've demonstrated your ability to be a to be a cross-functional team player who can make decisions firmly and objectively

  • You have high standards and can hold project contributors accountable

  • You're a critical thinker and have great judgment

You'll make an impact by:

Building strategic relationships - Work closely with various business teams as they seek to expand assortment, service offerings, and experiences; help them identify, assess, and mitigate risk while enabling business functions.

Designing and implementing - Develop and implement policies and procedures, controls, and training communications to embed compliance into key processes.

Operating with excellence -Drive and coordinate the execution of multiple business plans and projects across assortment channels, while partnering closely with the various business teams. Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

Leveraging tools and data - Utilize data to assess and improve program effectiveness

Continuous improvement - Actively seek cross-functional coordination opportunities to improve processes and drive compliance requirement execution
