The Global Governance team within Walmart Global Technology leads and oversees company-wide ethics and compliance, legal, global investigations, global security & aviation applications, standards, processes, and procedures. Our team is on a mission to build the best platforms for our business partners, provide key data insights, and set a higher bar in engineering standards.

 You will be a key contributor to leading, designing, building, managing, maintaining, and deploying our global solutions. You'll also get to lead, mentor and develop a talented team of engineers, lead hackathons and other exciting events, and work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership. 

Responsibilities of the team:

• Effectively translating requirements into project parameters while working with agility from cradle to grave.
• Helping cross-functional teams to solve for business problems and develop solutions that enable us to redefine a “best-in-class” customer experience.
• Encouraging the project teams that you oversee to work collaboratively and to aim for insight-driven outcomes.  

Basic Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in application design, build & BS in computer science
• Strong Java, Spring framework, Kafka, SQL and cloud experience such as Azure.
• Strong experience in RESTful Microservices
• Container technologies such as Docker on Kubernetes
• Strong API design, development, and management
• Clear Communication, including the ability to create functional charts
• Ability to multitask between several different requirements and features concurrently
• Experience with cloud native technology, CI/CD 
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Ability to drive medium to large scale projects collaborating with various stakeholders
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced and agile development environment
• Excellent analytic, decision making and communication skills

Additional Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in Azure cloud architecture and deployments and strong understanding of cloud technology, including - Azure Offerings, Cloud storage, Cloud security, Cloud migration.
• Industry experience in developing components for mobile applications or cloud native backend PaaS
• Nice to have Mobile experience either iOS development or Android development or React-Native development
