You'll make an impact by:

Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.

Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation.

Provides support to the business by responding to user's questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.

• Troubleshoot and triage issues related to data pipeline failures or slowness, built using Map Reduce, Tez, hive or Spark to ensure SLA adherence. These may be batch as well as streaming processes.

• Resolve issues related to commercial tools and products, which are an integral part of platform

• Be a gatekeeper to ensure sanity of production data systems

• Builds tools to continuously monitor and alert platform components & data pipelines

• Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our data platform

• Participate in 12X7 on call rotation and be the first responder for any issues with the data pipelines

• Drive the RCA and incident management efforts

• Review the data pipelines built using big data stack and provide resource optimization recommendations

• Design DR strategy for data pipelines

• Closely work with engineering on their roadmap and help drive the capacity planning efforts for our big data stack.

• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

• Work with cloud technologies as needed

• Work and develop CI and CD processes
