We pursue big ideas to leapfrog capabilities across conversational commerce, extended reality, in-store digitization, and more. This stealth team within Store Nº8 is paving the way for extended reality applications in the commerce space creating immersive shopping experiences.

This is the opportunity to get in early with a stealth project currently developing in Walmart's Store No8 incubator. At Store No8, the team will discover and deliver capabilities for online commerce, through the unparalleled scale of Walmart’s platform.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack / Extended Reality**,** you play a critical role in bringing this initiative into existence. You will be part of a small team tasked with creating net new capabilities in the field of extended reality.
Work with a small team including software engineers, industry advisors and product team members to design and build new capabilities in the extended reality domain.
Develop frontend components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NodeJs.
Build a responsive, high-performance web application on Azure.
Employ strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

What You’ll Need
A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 6 years’ experience in software engineering including 4 years experience working on server or full-stack engineering.
Ability to design technical architecture, with an eye toward scalability, data privacy, security, and database design.
