What you'll do...
On the Customer Experience Engineering team at Walmart Labs, we provide technology to power shopping journeys that help hundreds of millions of customers live better – be it busy families getting groceries easily, new parents welcoming a new baby, organizing a new home or anyone planning a fun party. We strive to create the best shopping experience anywhere anytime, meeting customers' evolving needs and expectations.
We are looking for experience engineers to help design and improve the way customers shop by building highly throughput scalable backend tier 0 services that power customer's journey across Walmart sites and mobile apps.
In this role, you will:
Design and implement components for Walmart.com's next-generation, global e-Commerce Platform.
Responsible for the design and implementation of high-performance and scalable applications for use within the Walmart ecosystem for product data enrichment, and orchestration layer components in a massively scalable, high performance, multi-tenant, global e-Commerce platform.
Technical evaluation of software technologies and architectures, conducting proof of concepts experiments and provide best in class software solutions.
Be a Technical lead to drive medium to large projects/programs.
Evangelize and drive adoption of engineering best practices, develop innovation strategies.
Analyze AB test results data and customer feedback to identify and fix issues related to software platform.
Responsible for environment setups for development, testing and deployments.
Explore technologies and methods for generating smart ML model for product comparisons, design and deploy at scale.
Work with Java and other related technologies to design and develop high-performance and scalable applications for use within the Retail Core Tech & Strati ecosystem. Be responsible for laying the foundation for Walmart's future global platform as well as proposing solutions to ease software development, monitoring of software, etc. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions, including developing technical features that improve the data quality and the page response time on Walmart.com and the associated resource tiers. Build new instrumentation that tracks the metrics as defined by the business requirements that drive the Walmart.com business. Provide applications development support to the business. Troubleshoot business and production issues by being the on-call occasionally to resolve site issues from an engineering standpoint when engaged with the Site support team and reinstate the failed components.
