About the Role
As a Senior Software (Embedded) Engineer for Project Diamond, your focus will be developing next-generation hardware platforms, algorithms, and frameworks for projects within our project and beyond. You will partner with developers, data scientists, engineering, product, store operations and legal teams. You will need to be a self-starter with bias for action and excellent communication skills. Together, we will pioneer technologies that reinvent the customer and associate experience, new ways of working, and new ways of shopping.

What you'll do
Define hardware requirement and platform architecture
Build full working prototypes and test out various SOCs, and sensors
Identify final hardware platforms that will drive Project Diamond product lines
Develop embedded software stack for IoT
Integrate, test, and validate machine and computer vision models on the hardware stack
Coordinate hardware production with suppliers.
Drive sprint development and results
Document processes, hardware/software architectures
Push the limits of IoT hardware and battery life capacity
Work with multiple vendors to select the best hardware that meets our needs
Self-driven, passionate for hardware, and solving very complex challenges
Develop security mechanisms to protect the hardware while meeting product requirements
What's Required
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent + 3 years of experience
Master's in electrical engineering or equivalent or 4+ of industry experience
Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB routing software such as OrCAD/Allegro Experience with Digital and/or Analog and/or Optical Electronics Background working with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
Experience with Ethernet and/or electro-optical design
Proficiency in using FPGA design tools, ARM processor, and Assembly language
Experience with IoT modules such as ESP32
Experience with camera modules
Familiarity with machine learning and computer vision

Extensive experience in battery optimization technology
Extensive experience in low power networking optimization
