You'll make an impact by...

Building innovative technology:

• Designing and maintaining cutting-edge, scalable and reliable solutions to manage Edge Foundation's current & next-gen infrastructure and applications which directly impact Walmart customers.

• Design, document and maintain Infrastructure

• Write, document and maintain automated configuration management systems.

• Develop and maintain software and tools to automate routine ops/orchestrations.

• Work closely with our internal customers to deploy services and solutions

Building strategic relationships:

• Partner and collaborate with stakeholders to create and support Edge Foundation's ecosystem infrastructure

• Optimize global operation processes and standardsacross various products

• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams throughout Edge Foundation and Walmart at large.

Acting as a role model to the team (and beyond):

• Serve as a leader/mentor to a talented team of Network Engineers and cross-functional teams

• Lead by example in Operational Excellence, Documentation, POCs, Tech diagrams/presentations, etc

• Serve as a key contributor and advocate for the best practices by providing guidance, training, and documentation to business

What you'll do...

• Design, configure, and implement load balancer deployments and solutions.

• Administer load balancer requests with creation or modification of VIPs, pools, profiles, monitors, etc.

• Create and update network diagrams and document policies, procedures, and standards.

• Maintain and upgrade code levels and remediate security vulnerabilities.

• Troubleshoot issues related to VIP deployments.

• Create and maintain automation processes and tools for deployment, administration and maintenance purposes

• Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship through collaboration and excellent communication

What you'll bring...

Minimum position requirements:

• 5+ years experience with designing, deploying, configuring, and administering Load Balancers.

• Advanced experience with either F5 (LTM, DNS, ASM) or Citirix Netscaler (ADC, ADM, CAG).

• Solid understanding of load balancing Strategies/Techniques, expertise in application switching/traffic management, knowledge of persistence models and SSL certificate principles.

• Hands on experience with network protocols and concepts (BGP, VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc)

• Good understanding of virtualization in relation to ESXi, Kubernetes, and Openstack.

• Solid troubleshooting experience using packet capture and analysis tools.

• Ability to write competent code in at least one high-level language.

• Superb oral & written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

• Ability to act as a lead to peers.
