What you'll do...
Join the Walmart Health & Wellness Legal Team to partner with the business & compliance leadership on fast-paced, healthcare-focused operations, and strategy for the world's largest company.This Lead Counsel role is critical to Walmart's health and wellness strategic initiatives, including primary care, dental, optical, behavioral health, telehealth and others. You will provide regulatory guidance for operations, transactions, mergers and acquisitions, investigations, and litigation, and collaborate with cross functional teams to mitigate legal and compliance risk, to include interacting with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
You'll make an impact by:
- Providing legal advice and counsel to the company around all aspects of public health.
- Identifying, prioritizing, and managing risks to the company by engaging and supervising outside counsel and collaborating with clients to develop mitigation strategies.
- Creating strategies for the Company's Health and Wellness Division, including its Walmart Health business line.
- Developingbest practices and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Providing legal support for healthcare-focused transactions and projects.
- Successfully collaborating withinternal and external stakeholders.
You'll sweep us off our feet if
- You have experience with Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, CMS and other regulatory bodies.
- You're a healthcare regulatory and compliance subject-matter expert.
- You have experience with government regulatory agencies.
- You're driven to execute and to act quickly.
- You're process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- You have strong communication skills and experience with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- You have enjoyed success working on cross-functional teams within a corporate environment.
