What you'll do...
Leads the development of strategic copy and content to drive the online customer experience by managing and leveraging relationships with vendors (for example, advertising and content agencies) and cross-functional partners (for example, Site, Marketing, Merchandising); managing teams in the development and procurement of copy and editorial content (for example, articles, marketing assets); and reviewing, providing feedback on, editing, and approving copy deliverables.
Partners with senior management to develop and implement content strategy for assigned content center(s) (for example, Food and Recipe, Pet Care, Health and Wellness) and seasonal campaigns by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, benchmarks, best practices, and the competitive landscape to translate business objectives into strategic action plans; directing the implementation and delivery of key program components (for example, point-of-view advertisements, brand shops, landing pages); identifying and recommending supplier sponsorship opportunities for Online Media Program (OMP); and ensuring initiatives are aligned with content, tools, technologies, and the overall company and marketing strategies.
Manages the development of websites, interactive tools, and other site experiences for new and existing content centers by developing creative briefs and technical requirements documentation to ensure business needs are aligned with site specifications and vendor cost estimates; reviewing and approving recommended information architecture and user experience; providing leadership and guidance to Site Merchandising, Global eCommerce, and advertising agencies throughout the project development cycle; overseeing quality assurance of new sites and tools prior to launch; partnering with Online Marketing teams and agencies to promote center content across online marketing channels; and syndicating content to drive site traffic.
Manages the development and maintenance of content guidelines and style guides for online editorial content by driving consistency and quality across the site; ensuring adherence to search engine optimization (SEO) best practices; ensuring alignment of company and vendor content with established brand standards; and maintaining and evolving the content tone and voice of Walmart.com.
Manages the continuous improvement of assigned content center(s) (for example, Food and Recipe, Pet Care, Health and Wellness) and seasonal campaigns by monitoring key performance metrics (for example, traffic, engagement, conversion rates) and financial performance to ensure budget forecasts and business goals are met; developing data-driven contingency plans as needed; and partnering with Producers, Designers, and business owners (for example, Online Media Program (OMP), Category Marketing, Merchandising) to develop and implement workflow process enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field and 2 years experience in editorial content management or related field OR 5 years experience in editorial content management or related field.
