What You’ll be doing: Focus on improving Walmart’s leadership position in pricing by delivering actionable insights across your business unit.

• Apply Business Acumen: Ability to disaggregate and translate complex business issues into actionable projects. Take initiative to identify and solve problems while comfortable providing recommendations to your cross functional partners.
• Data Source Identification: Proactively explore datasets, working with your industry group and cross functional product teams to identify and test the suitable sources of data.
• Data Processing & Quality Management: Uses tools such as SQL Server, Teradata, Google Cloud Platform, Tableau, and Alteryx to wrangle data as needed. Test and validate data quality and applicability to the business.
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Generate appropriate graphical representations of data. Seeks constant improvement and education around how merchants perceive data and use it to make decisions.
• Excellent People Skills: Ability to cultivate relationships up, down and across the organizational chain. Collaborate with both internal and external teams to achieve company goals. Demonstrate quick and effective problem-solving skills, and strong work ethics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in the fields of economics, accounting, finance, business, mathematics, statistics, ecommerce, entrepreneurship or related field
• 1 - 2 years experience in consulting, investment banking, data science, merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, ecommerce, statistics, startup or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field
• Entrepreneurial spirit - must be a self-starter with an innovative mindset  
• Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to structure a problem, disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
• Ability to accomplish work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Excellent with Microsoft Office Suites (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication and cross functional relationship management Skills
• Professional attitude, team player, work standards and service orientation
• SQL querying and general knowledge of Alteryx is preferred
