What you'll do...

The Manager II, Merchandising Operations is a detailed and fast paced member of ETS. This role will work closely with cross functional partners across the organization to create solutions for the merchants in Entertainment, Toys, and Seasonal.  You must be able to accurately manage details while working with teams to develop creative solutions to showcase merchandise to our customers.  As a key partner in a team environment, you will have the opportunity to present your development and solutions to executive leadership. 

  • Manage projects by building project plans and overseeing these projects from start to implementation; assign projects and tasks to associates; schedule projects; document project scope; develop score cards and metrics; develop short and long term plans; complete projects in accordance with agreed upon timelines.

  • Manage the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; develop and communicate business plans and priorities; remove barriers and obstacles that impact performance; provide resources; identify performance standards; measure progress and adjust performance accordingly; develop contingency plans; and demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning.

  • Prioritize and execute key business strategies and communication platforms by managing cross-functional initiatives that impact store and corporate processes; manage merchandising programs and initiatives, customer and company communications, and associate training content; make recommendations for system support developments; recommend merchandise priorities; provide insight to senior management and other business partners on key issues and opportunities to drive the business; and translate merchandise strategies for assigned departments into executable programs.

  • Managing support to internal customers by reviewing project requests and project plans; analyzing data; driving solutions to business problems and store processes; providing feedback on operational processes; and providing recommendations for system changes and overall process changes.
  • Aiding in the development of the team by providing training and support, sharing key learning, and providing feedback; ensuring the team has the knowledge and skills necessary to advance.
