What you'll do...

As a Manager within the International Marketplace Development Team, you will be responsible to help shape and drive strategic initiatives of the team through effective program management. This role will involve collaborating and obtaining cross-functional inputs from multiple stakeholders, removal of roadblocks and dependencies, influencing decisions, as well as defining and analyzing measurement of success and tying that back to the strategic initiatives and goals.

Some challenges of the role entail managing multiple strategic initiatives in varying stages and coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the Markets, International Teams, US Teams and more. The role involves effective communication and an eye to raise concerns and recommended solutions in a timely manner. This role also requires an elevated level of organization and time management skills to manage the daily priorities and time sensitive requirements

An Associate will make an impact in this role by:

-  delivering results by thoroughly executing the assigned tasks on time while knowing when to escalate issues as well as when to share best practices

  • knowing how to dive deep into understanding of the initiative at hand and how it delivers impact and benefit to the International Marketplace

  • being a strong communicator across multiple stakeholder groups

The role will be key in executing Walmart’s cross border trade e-commerce strategy. You will be a cross-border trade (CBT) Champion and represent Walmart international marketplaces and the CBT business across Walmart business and partners.

You will make an impact by:

  • Successful execution of multiple initiatives and tasks simultaneously.

  • Communicating progress to Manager and ensuring timely escalations are occurring to prevent delays or unexpected changes.

  • Working with stakeholders to forecast, measure and report results of projects, addressing any escalations. 

  • Developing relationships with key influencers and decision-makers, along with internal stakeholders and working teams to develop business plans that exceed expectations.

  • Assisting with management of projects or tasks related to P&L for the Team, analyzing revenue and financial models, process improvement initiatives and more.

  • Continuously improve the process for program management by recommending and incorporating lessons learned.

  • Thinking creatively: Explore and innovate! Develop and test ideas that can create shared value for sellers, customers, and Walmart.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 3+ years of business program or project management experience

  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence stakeholders

  • Experience with process and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Identifies and applies sound, fact-based criteria in setting priorities and making decisions. Looks beyond symptoms to determine the root causes of problems and identify and implement applicable solutions. Integrates knowledge and expertise in making fact-based recommendations and decisions.

  • Ensure Execution and Achieve Results - Conveys a sense of urgency in ways that motivate others to complete responsibilities and achieve goals. Pursues the achievement and alignment of measurable and meaningful goals. Leverages resources and talent to achieve business goals. Ensures others are held accountable for achieving expected results. Prioritizes and balances time, actions, and projects to ensure accomplishment of results. Monitors progress of others and redirects efforts when goals change, or results are not met.
