Market Fresh Operations Manager - Walmart
What you'll do at
Creates and implements strategies to grow market share by evaluating competitors, internal and external influences, threats, and industry trends; analyzing key metrics and creating plans to capture fresh business opportunities; ensuring that market level strategies are aligned with regional and divisional strategies; driving the development of market-level programs and their incorporation into the store (for example, acquiring local farm products, providing insight and guidance to the market operations team); developing branding and market share strategies and best practices for fresh initiatives (for example, grocery home shopping produce selection, fresh quality marketing);collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, Store Manager, Market Manager, merchants) in order to develop and implement solutions for fresh strategic initiatives; building support for and implementing business strategies; and facilitating communication between Market Managers, store management, and fresh lead Drives fresh area financial and operational performance for the market by collaborating with store management and Market Managers to review budgeting, management, and processes; managing the fresh department profit and loss statements for the market and/or stores on a daily basis; indexing key financial metrics (for example, gross margin, shrink, key expense lines, wages, supplies, maintenance, repair); evaluating and reacting to financial and inventory performance; collaborating with Market and Regional leadership team to address underperforming stores and performance accountability; planning and communicating necessary operational changes; and delivering results of financial plans to the leadership team. Drives quality, inventory, and presentation for fresh products and initiatives by executing strategies for item shortfalls, dynamic pricing, seasonal changes, and demands to fulfill financial obligations; analyzing trends and patterns to determine root causes of problems and identify solutions that address these trends; evaluating and providing feedback on processes and procedures; working directly with local suppliers to identify store of the community (SOTC) item assortment; determining and implementing STOC buying and assortment decisions; determining product distribution, monitoring sales, and evaluating 3product integrity throughout the supply chain; driving waste reduction; and establishing and communicating store inventory priorities. Drives training on and execution of fresh merchandising plans and operational direction by teaching and training associates and store leadership; building staff and production plans to execute merchandise plans for the fresh department; touring stores; developing and implementing targeted training based on issues identified; assessing and sharing best practices; addressing performance and/or execution deficiencies; and developing, providing guidance on, and following up on division, region, market, and store specific plans of action. Develops and evaluates fresh area training (for example, regulatory compliance, sanitation and food safety protocol) and ensures it is executed within the market by developing training quality metrics and auditing training to identify training issues and ensure compliance with company initiatives (for example, One- Best-Way); facilitating training and training quality initiatives (for example, train-the-trainer, sharing of best practices); developing strategies to address training issues and collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, store leadership, Market Manager, Home Office Central Operations) to implement these strategies; developing strategies to leverage resources and providing solutions within the market; partnering with Market Managers, store management, and fresh leadership to develop customized training solutions for store or market specific issues; collaborating with Store Operations (for example, Market Managers, Regional General Managers) to develop and implement Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position.
