DX.IO is Centralized engineering portal providing seamless access to high quality curated technical content for different phases of Software Development Lifecycle. This comprehensive portal will provide ratified design patterns, tech stacks, best practices, paths to building Cloud, Mobile, Web, and Data applications.

Job Responsibilities

• The Search Engineer will work closely with architects, engineers, and integrators to assess customer requirements and to design, develop and support an ElasticSearch Stack solution.

• Proven work on large-scale search / information retrieval projects and related infrastructure

• Proven expertise in Search fundamentals including query understanding, text matching, auto complete, relevance tuning, boosting, and search engine optimization techniques, ranking factors and search engine algorithms.

• Testing data flows, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring the health of the solution and servers to maximize performance and minimize downtime

• Collaborate with Cross functional Engineering, Product and UX teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems

• 8+ years of excellent programming experience of highly scalable eCommerce Applications

• 12+ years of excellent programming experience using Java, JMS/Messaging Queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), Spring, RDBMS, REST & Web Services.

• 2+ years of experience in Python programming

• Have proficient knowledge and experience with Apache Solr, Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic search and In-Memory NoSQL

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing Micro-services

• Experience with data ingest, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) techniques.

• Experience with multi-node clustering and health monitoring of the systems. Knowledge of hot/warm/cold data/index lifecycle management (ILM)

• 2+ years of experience with JSON searching syntax. Elastic Query DSL is a plus.

• Experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes

• Experience with cloud infrastructure preferably Azure, GCP

• Experience working with multi-threaded programming in high performance, distributed environments.

• Java performance tuning, memory management, debug heap dumps to identify memory leaks.

• Experience in JUnit Testing and Test-driven development

• 5+ years of experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong knowledge of standard algorithms.

Good to have

• Experience with Machine Learning, Data Science

• Experience in React JS, Angular JS, Node JS and knowledge of JavaScript with ES6, CSS, and HTML5

• Experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE)
