Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Demand Forecasting is a key part of Walmart's replenishment system and helps the company optimize our inventory position. Our Product team is looking for a Product Analytics person to collaborate with world class Data Scientists and Engineers to develop forecasting system which uses Machine Learning to generate item/store level forecasts. If working at the intersection of Product Analytics and Data science excites you, come talk to us. Below are the roles and responsibility for this positions
- Develops and champions a vision, strategy, and roadmap for analytics within in Store Forecasting product
- Drives forecast analysis and drive areas of improvements
- Partner with Data Scientists, Engineers to improve forecasts and expand platform to broader replenishment use cases
- Supports product implementation and deployment of Data Science Algorithms at scale
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 2 years experience in eCommerce Analytics or Data Science
- Experience in scripting SQL/R/Python/Spark
- Good understanding of Data science models such as Gradient Boosting and Random Forests
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working on scale
- Masters in Business Analytics, Masters in Engineering Management, or related field
