Program Manager, Fuel & Special Projects

You’ll Make An Impact By:
 

  • Building strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners; working collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve objectives; and communicating with energy and positivity to motivate, influence, and inspire commitment and action
  • Leading the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; providing weekly updates and on-going support to the leadership of the business supported; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices (for example, requirement development, program authorization)
  • Defining, developing, and executing end-to-end programs for project stores and several strategic initiatives by ensuring modular design, traits and other demands of the business are achieved; managing the year-over-year changes and changes within a program year as necessary; connecting the business needs to sourcing events;
  • Monitoring execution progress and ensuring deliverable quality (e.g., coordinating meetings, tracking budget, following up on action items); recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands.
  • Strategizing and identifying opportunities, and driving programs that minimize losses by meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Leading cross-functional teams engaged in the development of new business processes and special projects by setting agendas; facilitating discussions; driving consensus; achieving alignment of business objectives and project plans; delegating responsibilities to team members; and communicating pace and progress to key stakeholders.
  • Managing Bill of Materials and order directives specific to the area of business; supporting the cost control of indirect goods and services.
  • Identifying program risk; developing, implementing, and communicating risk and associated mitigation plans for projects with internal dependencies, adjusting as needed
  • Measuring, tracking, and analyzing results, reporting progress, and optimizing programs continuously.
  • Driving informed decision-making and ensuring resolution of critical issues by partnering with senior leaders to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues within the business
  • Managing the goods not for resale (GNFR) requirements for a specific area of the business by coordinating with the sourcing teams in determining conceptual and performance requirements of products and services to be procured; designing and implementing projects and programs in collaboration with other departments (for example, Merchandising, Operations, Realty); and ensuring planned implementation.
  • Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability
  • Adopting a holistic perspective that considers data, analytics, customer insights, and different parts of the business when making plans and shaping the program’s strategy
  • Delivering expected business results while putting the customer first and consistently applying an omni-merchant mindset and the EDLP and EDLC business models to all plans
  • Seeking and implementing continuous improvements and encouraging the team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working
  • Demonstrating curiosity and a growth mindset; fostering an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking; and exhibits resilience in the face of setbacks
  • Promoting, modeling, and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy
