Position: Quality Engineer II
Job Location: 805 Moberly Lane, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Supports code development for eCommerce projects by participating in project team meetings to develop project plans; reviewing project requirements; providing insight to software developers regarding project quality requirements; and providing guidance regarding code development to ensure testability and reliability. Provides solutions for code errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; utilizing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analyzing testing results to determine needed fixes; resolving minor code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors. Participates in small- to medium-sized team projects by reviewing and understanding project requirements; assisting in the writing and developing of code; performing software quality assurance testing; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs. Performs quality assurance testing for medium- to large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software by collaborating with project teams to establish test cases and requirements; writing test cases in accordance with project requirements and established standards; obtaining test case approval from the project team; applying test case instructions to products under testing; executing test cases; evaluating results against expected results; and updating project teams regarding results and needed fixes.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in quality engineering or a related field OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: RESTFUL API (Postman or SoapUI) calls to validate backend service functionality status; Relational Database Management Systems (SQL) to validate data consistency; Agile Software Development and Project Management Software (JIRA); Data Management (lenses to query and inspect on Kafka Topic Data); Data Analytics and Logging Service (Splunk); Control Systems (Git); CI/CD Tool (Jenkins); Coding in Java; IDE tools (Eclipse, Intellij or Visual Studio) to write code; Requirements Analysis; Troubleshooting functional defects; Software Quality Assurance; Client - Server Architecture and Framework; and Mobile Architectures; and UI Testing. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
