What you'll do...

Walmart Connect (WMC) is seeking an experienced Search Analyst to join our team. We are looking for an individual who loves digging into data, troubleshooting, learning new technologies and solving difficult problems. As the Search Analyst, you will be responsible for curating and driving the search optimization strategy and looking for new and creative ways to increase the performance of our ad products across WMC.  

You will partner closely with Sales, Analytics, Products and Technical Operations to roll-out new products, features, and integrations. You will become an expert in Walmart's omni-channel solution, using Walmart’s proprietary data, to deliver exceptional performance for our clients. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Sponsored Products Campaign Optimization: Own campaign performance and implement optimization changes (bid adjustments, targeting changes, etc.) to ensure client KPIs are fulfilled and/or exceeded.
  • Proactively identifies growth opportunities for advertisers search investments and proposes solutions to improve ROI.
  • Identifies domain, brand, category, and campaign trends to provide analysis to support incremental asks
  • Contribute data driven insights for developing successful sales strategies and brand performance
  • Communicate strategic recommendations to campaign management based on research and data analysis.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify shortcomings in existing products and opportunities for new features.
  • Iterate on existing processes to help streamline and create best practices across revenue operations and sales.
  • Responsible for owning the key metrics focused towards driving exponential growth of search.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with members from onsite display, platform partnerships, and revenue operations to define optimal media mix by campaign, advertiser, and vertical.
  • Uses Tableau and other internal dashboards to analyze opportunities, identify patterns and implement proactive solutions including improvements across WPA (Walmart Paid Ads), tools, and processes.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, mathematics, business administration, management, information systems, marketing) OR 2 years of experience working with product analytics, web analytics, customer analytics, or marketing analytics
  • Experienced in developing media strategies based on data, insights, and analytics.
  • Strong experience in Amazon Sponsored Ads, Walmart Sponsored Products, Instacart, CitrusAd Search, Criteo, Google Ads, Bing, Yahoo!, Co-op Advertising and all paid search terminology and key tools (e.g., AdWords, AdCenter, Retail Search, etc.).
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills that enable you to use data to develop, validate and measure search campaigns.
  • Experience developing or overseeing quantitative analysis and delivering actionable insights.
  • Ambitious, self-starter mentality and entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive for excellence and delivery of results.
  • Has ability to work at all levels with an eye for detail to achieve quality & process goals, actively translates Walmart’s core values into everyday practices.
  • Effective communication/interpersonal skills and able to build relationships and influence cross-functionally.
  • Understanding customer experience, listening to customers' voices, and working backwards to improve business process and operations.
  • Client facing experience is a plus
