About the Role 

The Data Steward will be responsible for the management of data assets, architecture, and infrastructure for the people domain, as well as the backlog prioritization of data transformation efforts across data sources. This individual will be accountable to identify, define, protect, and manage data from its raw form to its consumption by data stakeholders. This individual will also be able to skillfully develop, deploy, and manage production scaled Tabular data models using cloud infrastructure - Azure Analysis Service or on-premise technology - SQL Server Analysis Service. Lastly, this individual will work with business leaders, product teams, data analysts, data scientists, and technology teams in driving forward data-related strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert for all people data requirements.
• Manage the strategy for people data systems by prioritizing enhancements; ensuring alignment of customer business strategy with system enhancements; and reviewing and approving implementation plans.
• Using Advanced SQL, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
• Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources and tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
• Deploy and manage production scaled Tabular data models using cloud infrastructure - Azure Analysis Service or on-premise technology - SQL Server Analysis Service.
• Hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, multi-dimensional modeling, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols).
• Responsible for improving understanding of data by creating and maintaining business glossaries, data dictionaries and data lineage. Also, determining official data sources for data.
• Responsible for improving data quality by defining business data quality rules/data quality metrics.
• Prioritize data source needs across products and work with Global Data Product Leads to deliver required data for consumption in production or by self-service portals, dashboards and analytics tools.
• Ensure adherence to data usage, access standards, and compliance policies; provide guidance on data process best practices.
• Manage access control for datasets and monitor data usage. Identify and resolve anomalies and compliance risks.
• Confirm the source of truth and data source development required for new use cases/data initiatives, including third party data acquisition.
• Review and provide input into product plans to ensure that data is being effectively captured and used.
• Seek out, implement, and evangelize best practices internally and to external data stewardship community events.

statistics, or related field.
