As a Senior Data Analyst for Last-Mile Delivery at Walmart, you will help pioneer ad hoc analytics, dashboards and insights for capacity, cost, fulfillment, and transportation to make Walmart’s delivery platform one of the fastest and most reliable delivery services in the country. You will have access to our limitless global data and all the new data to be harvested from our customer and driver apps. You will be able to influence decisions that not only influence how we make decisions but also create an impact at an unprecedented scale.
What you will work on…
Our Data & Analytics team aims at enabling business partners through accessibility and of data and insights in real-time. This involves developing a fundamental understanding of driver and shopper behavior and creating reporting and ad hoc analyses for key business partners. The team creates fact based models, root cause analyses and facilitates test & learn to make data-driven decisions.
Design and measurement of retail tests
Building dashboards and metrics for new customer propositions such as Express delivery
Root Cause analysis for primary reason an order was delivered late
Understanding differences in performance of stores and markets
You’ll make an impact by…
Apply SQL and Visualization skills to create reports that show outputs of your analyses.
Collaborating with business partners to gather the right information from various sources so that you can support analyses of key initiatives.
Conduct exploratory analysis including hypothesis testing, and basic statistical testing (median, standard deviation, correlation, etc)
Translates, co-owns business problems, identifies methods (data or mathematical) to provide solutions
Automating tasks and developing processes that monitor, analyze, and inform the actions of key stakeholders.

You have storytelling experience with data visualizations in Tableau, Splunk, Kibana, etc.
You’re an inquisitive and out-of-the-box thinker who is continually on the lookout for opportunities to improve and innovate analytic solutions

You have exposure to common statistical methods (e.g., Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Clustering)
Option 1 - Master’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in analytics related field.
Option 2 - Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in analytics related field.
Option 4 - 7 years of experience in analytics or related field.
