We are the incubation arm of Walmart. Store No8 was formed in 2017 as part of Walmart’s larger innovation mission to shape the future of commerce. We pursue big ideas and take risks by stepping outside of Walmart’s core business to focus on leapfrog capabilities across conversational commerce, mixed reality, in-store digitization, and more. Our ultimate goal: fuel Walmart’s core business, create new operational efficiencies, and unlock amazing experiences for our customers in the long-term.
This stealth team within Store Nº8 is paving the way for extended reality applications in the retail space creating productive and entertaining immersive shopping experiences.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll leverage your sharp analytical skills and strategic thinking to help us develop and refine technical products and business models. You are comfortable organizing and presenting data around customer intelligence, user engagement and adoption metrics as well as analysing trends and patterns. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Head of Product. You will get in on the ground floor with a small fast-paced team in an emerging technology industry. You will make an impact by:
Defining business models and strategies – You will work collaboratively with teams across Walmart to locate, pull and utilize data to define and refine business models and strategies
Defining business plans and projects – You will help identify best paths forward for technical projects, making recommendations for testing, rollout strategies, scaling and more
Improving technical products through data analysis – you pull and organize data to help the team understand, analyze and prove our hypotheses in the extended reality domain.
Establishing strong data best practices – You will act as a data leader by defining and promoting best practices for organizing, utilizing and communicating data

You’re comfortable influencing others, managing stakeholders, and communicating clearly
You’ve worked in small teams/incubators
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Or a Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, in the retail industry, gaming or related field.
Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)
