Job Description

Data Source Identification Requires knowledge of: Functional business domain and scenarios; Categories of data and where it is held; Business data requirements; Database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL); Data Quality; Existing business systems and processes, including the key drivers and measures of success. To support the understanding of the priority order of requirements and service level agreements. Helps identify the most suitable source for data that is fit for purpose. Performs initial data quality checks on extracted data.
Data Transformation and Integration Requires knowledge of: Internal and external data sources including how they are collected, where and how they are stored, and interrelationships, both within and external to the organization; Techniques like ETL batch processing, streaming ingestion, and API; Data warehousing service for structured and semi-structured data, or to MPP databases such as Microsoft Azure, or Google BigQuery; Pre-processing techniques such as transformation, integration, normalization, feature extraction, to identify and apply appropriate methods. We are looking for an adept, architecturally minded Senior Data Engineer to design and build out a multi-tenant data architecture to increase customer insights for personalized service and call centers to optimize operations.
The perfect candidates will have strong data infrastructure and data architecture skills, a proven track record of mentoring and scaling data teams, strong operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, strong project leadership, and a strong vision for how data engineering can proactively create positive impact. You’ll split your time between unblocking team, vetting their designs, and coaching them to realize their full potential, while also building things yourself.
The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, support, and maintain data processing architectures and solutions enabling the efficient transformation of structured and unstructured data into data products and insights for Contact Center Tech (CCT) organization. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with InContact, Cisco, Core Data Fabric (CDF), and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract, transform, and load internal and external data into new and existing data models for advanced analysis and business intelligence reporting.
The Senior Data Engineer works with data from internal and external sources utilizing cloud and on-premises environments. Develops and supports automated processes that clean, organize, and transform data into data products, insights, and actions that enables the CCT organization to move data more effectively. Makes decisions on moderately complex to highly complex data issues regarding technical approach for project components within the team's data and reporting framework. Contributes to more innovative approaches to the organization's data assets as they build knowledge of the CCT organization
