What you'll do...

The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer services.

The Senior Manager I, Marketplace Strategic Initiatives (FCHW) is responsible for overseeing, tracking, and operationalizing key growth initiatives across the Food, Consumables, Health & Wellness (FCHW) segment. They work across Product Management, Programs, Operations, Legal, Compliance and other functional partners to assess, incubate and scale/commercialize new business models for FCHW.   • You can simplify complex and ambiguous topics as well as communicate in a compelling manner.
  • You can identify/assess seller pain points and recognize functionality gaps that prevent business growth.
  • You can organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility to shift priorities.
  • You are results-oriented and enable connectedness, speed and agility across the organization; support the translation of ideas between commercial and operational/technology teams into actions with accelerated delivery timeframes.
  • You have the ability to navigate left-right (across topics) and up-down (strategy/details).
  • You have high standards with a proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and holding project contributors accountable to produce exceptional results.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Owning business outcomes – be directly responsible for identifying, launching, and leading our biggest bets in new business models.

  • Driving strategic initiatives critical to FCHW growth: Being the voice and advocate for the FCHW business, assessing and prioritizing key initiatives that will set Walmart Marketplace as an industry leader. Connect the dots and resolves issues as they are discovered.

  • Building strategic relationships: Maximizing relationships with new and existing internal and external stakeholders. Driving large, complex change efforts and achieving results through influence and persuasion. Build effective ways of working across teams and drive collaboration and coordination across functions.

  • Operating with excellence: Identify opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles and improve business processes. Setting an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others. Champion change and evolution, persuading through use of data and facts; demonstrate sufficient gravitas; inspire and motivate others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in Business Management, Business Operations, Strategy & Planning, Project Management, Agile Methodologies, eCommerce operations, Marketplace or related area.
  • Strong analytical skills with deep experience across commercial and technology functions, business performance analyses, and business case development
  • Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business positive outcomes.
  • Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paces environment with competing priorities.
  • Project Management and/or Agile Methodologies Certification.
