Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Leads and directs in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions. Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); directing actions as designated in the plan. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy.
About the team:
The GLS (Global Logistics System) team works on building and supporting WMS (Warehouse Management System) that runs in all the distribution centers in Walmart. Distribution Centre is a warehouse where all the products received from vendors are stored and distributed to stores and customers. We employ latest tech to turn Walmart's massive scale and reach into value proposition for our customers.
You'll sweep us off our feet if...
- 8+ years of experience in all tenets of software quality engineering -manual/automation/performance
- Proficient in Automation Testing tools including Selenium, Protractor, Work soft, UI Path.
- Proficient in Performance Engineering tools including HP Performance Manager, JMeter, Dynatrace.
- Proficient in Manual Testing Tools including Fiddler, Soap UI, HP UFT, Plexus
- Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to explain complex subjects in layman's terms.
- Experience with distributed version control like Git or similar.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
- Familiar with public cloud technologies in Azure.
You'll make an impact by:
- Leading a team of software quality engineers that would be responsible for Quality Assurance of GLS.
- Coordinate between development and support teams to ensure thorough testing and root cause analysis when defects reach prod.
- Ensure QE teams are meeting daily test execution standards.
- Provide QE teams with training and direction in-line with company goals.
- Hold QE teams accountable to QE SOP.
- Ensure the GLS Program-wide Test Plan is up to date at all times.
