The mission of the Emerging Technology team at New Business Venture & Emerging Tech is to deliver breakthrough capabilities that save customers time and money and enable associates and partners to serve and delight customers anytime, quickly, anywhere. We are a team of technologists at the forefront of the brighter future who build digital assistant and platform capabilities for Conversational AI and Extended Reality.
We are looking for a senior manager of operations who can support Emerging Tech organization and the leadership team scale and form the cultures at levels of the organization.
Job Description
As the leader of the Emerging Tech Operation team, you will:
- Drive organizational initiatives, such as Annual Planning, Quarterly All Hand, hiring tracking, Cloud Cost management, Hackathons, etc. from ideas to execution and results
- Own a diverse slate of special projects that help drive culture and community
- Collaborate with other key partners, including cross-functional operation leads, human resources, communications, administrative teams, and product, engineering, and discipline leadership teams to facilitate support for organizational priorities
- Build effective partnerships with the broader Program Management/Business Operations teams and leverage best practices
- Use your analysis and problem-solving skills to find opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scale the organization
- Manage 1 to 2 project analysts/managers
- Create a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, speed, innovation, and learning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in tech ops functions or management consulting.
- Experience in a technical discipline
- Experience developing and driving organizational strategy and execution plans
- Proven ability to work in a matrix organization structure and effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels
- Outstanding organizational and communication (verbal, written and PowerPoint presentation) skills.
- Excellent understanding of budget and headcount management and functional operational processes.
- Top-notch data analytics and problem-solving skills, with an ability to synthesize disparate information and data into actionable recommendations.
- Proactively propose ways to increase organizational performance, efficiency, and employee engagement, building on your intimate understanding of the business’s key drivers.
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams demonstrated critical & creative thinking, and thought leadership
- Track record of being detail-oriented and delivering results in a highly organized and structured manner
- Collaborative team player who is also an
