As part of the Technical Program Management (Senior Manager I), this role will be a crucial enabler in defining and executing strategic long-term and short-term program objectives supporting MDS's product development roadmap. You will establish policies and procedures governing program execution and accountability. Set priorities and milestones for individual projects and team initiatives within the program. This includes responsibility for working with key leaders to develop a strategy and plans for MDS's product roadmap providing oversight from PMO's program implementation and team progress. Responsibility for presenting to key leadership and partners while keeping stakeholders updated on progress. This includes but is not limited to coordination on design, scope, schedule and budget between multiple internal and external departments and business partners.

About Management Decision Support:

Management Decision Support is an amalgamation of Product Management and Product Engineering. Product Management engages with Finance business partners to envision, plan, prioritize, design, and deliver forward-leaning, tech-enabled FinTech products, experiences, and capabilities. Delivers solutions that are sustainable, end-user focused and reusable. Focus on functions like Management Decision Support, Regulatory Technologies (R2R) and Data. Product Engineering defines and build infrastructure, applications, jobs, and DevOps processes required to release forward-leaning FinTech products and capabilities for the greatest business value.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be the lead and manage team of TPMs who will own and drive several complex programs, forming a portfolio of efforts that are geared towards achieving business goals of different market segments

  • You'll be working with a variety of engineering products responsible for movement of items across the network and to our customers

  • These technologies are at the apex of scale in collaboration with engineers, technical product managers, operations and business stakeholders

  • You will translate the product roadmap into integrated high-level plans that are aligned with business goals of the programs, as well as roadmaps of underlying cross-functional engineering teams

  • You will represent the overarching portfolio with all stakeholders, provide inputs and insights into each component and work stream

  • You will provide crisp status and communications to enable fast and effective escalations and decision making that allow the organization to react and adjust to changes

  • You will facilitate the effective flow of new asks from the business, apply prioritization and change management principles effectively, with minimal disruption to roadmaps

  • You will demonstrate a passion for details with the ability to ideate and problem solve actively with business leaders, product, science, and engineering stakeholders

  • You will develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce that functions as a center of excellence in the clarity of business needs and corporate alignment and communication to all levels of the organization.

  • You have a passion for cultivating an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door policy.

  • You will develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience delivering software development or IT implementation projects

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management leadership roles and cross-functional influence

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Agile project management tools preferably Jira and Big Picture. Ability to report Program and Project status out of Jira

  • Strong foundation in project management - intake and demand management, planning, prioritization, communications, portfolio management, stakeholder management, capacity management

  • Building strong communication channels with internal departments and build relationships

  • Identifying, monitoring, reporting, and escalating project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.

  • Utilizing project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones completions, project issues, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.

  • Daily, Weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting.

  • Strong experience working with Vendor partners across multiple geographies

  • Maintaining excellent communication (oral and written) with functional team members and direct management to ensure early identification of issues a timely reporting of status

  • Strong executive presence with experience working with diverse stakeholders, including leadership and executives

  • Comfortable working in unstructured environments and demonstrated ability to contribute to and drive organizational maturity

  • Proven ability to drive results, especially in a matrixed or influence based environment

  • Detail oriented leader with an ability to work, develop, and think at a strategic level.

  • Additionally, the appetite to work with the teams to dig into data, processes, issues, to identify the root-cause problems and remedies is a very desirable strength.

  • Good working knowledge of the value of delivering insights through data and analytics.

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude with a focus on goals while exhibiting personal integrity and a focus on the customer

  • Experience with SAFe Agile practices is good to have

  • Nice to haves: PMP certification, finance and/or retail experience
