Senior Manager II, Controllership (Walmart US – Health & Wellness)
Position is located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We do offer a comprehensive relocation package.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Walmart US – Health & Wellness Controllership team provides accounting support to business partners and ensures timely financial reporting for the Walmart US segment. The Health & Wellness consists of the pharmacy, optical and Walmart Health businesses which is a key growth area of the company.
ABOUT THE POSITION – INTRODUCTION
The Senior Manager II, Controllership primarily supports the Health & Wellness organization, and is responsible for financial accounting support, monthly close, reconciliation, internal controls, and consulting with business partners.

- You have proven experience reporting in compliance with SEC guidelines and US GAAP.
- You have knowledge of how high-level accounting impacts business decisions.
- You have health & wellness and/or retail experience.
- You are comfortable talking to a wide variety of business partners.
- You have demonstrated proficiency working cross-functionally.
- You have demonstrated excellent ability to interface with and influence senior executives.
- You have strong technical and compliance acumen and are experienced in driving accountability and resolutions with teams outside of your authority.
- You are a proven self-starter and excel in working with undefined parameters.
- You can solve problems by working across all key stakeholders in developing sustainable solutions.
- You are curious.
- You have a great eye for detail and can articulate points in a simplistic approach.
- You’re skilled at diplomacy and aligning stakeholders with competing priorities, including senior leaders.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Supporting monthly close/reconciliation process for Health & Wellness business
- Building and maintaining relationships with business and finance partners
- Ensuring new business accounting methodology is supported and appropriate
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes as well as partnering with our shared services providers
- Approving key reconciliations
- Providing accounting support for new business initiatives including system conversions/implementations, infrastructure build, etc.
- Ensuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively as our business/operational strategies evolve
- Being a strong team player
