What you'll do...

As a Senior Program Manager within the International Marketplace Development Team, you will be responsible for discovery of partners that can help drive the strategic initiatives of the team such as growing GMV particularly by attracting strategic sellers via the partnerships as well as utilizing partners to fill functionality needs for the international marketplace sellers. Beyond discovery the Senior Manager II role will be responsible for launching partnerships from kickoff to go-live as well as managing the post launch activities such as measuring the success of the partnership, areas for improvement as well as potential areas of expansion of the partnership.

To drive international marketplace partnerships, the Senior Manager II role will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the Markets, International Teams, US Teams and more. 

Some challenges of the role entail managing multiple partners in varying stages of launching and post go-live.  The launching of a partnership as well as management entails an extensive and thorough process with many tasks required as well as with many dependencies on coordinating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.  Many of the steps required involve detail review of agreements and documentation from partners. The role requires a high level of organization and time management skills to manage the daily priorities and time sensitive requirements.

An Associate will make an impact in this role by:

  • Delivering results of launching the partnerships in their scope of responsibility while knowing when to escalate issues as well as when to share best practices from their partnership launch journeys

  • Knowing how to dive deep into understanding a partner’s functionality and how it delivers impact and benefit to the International Marketplace strategic initiatives

  • Being a strong communicator across multiple stakeholder groups

The role will be key in executing Walmart’s cross border trade e-commerce strategy. You will be a CBT Champion and represent Walmart international marketplaces and the cross border trade business across Walmart business and partners.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Driving progress and successful completion with the partnership launches assigned; management of multiple initiatives and tasks occurring simultaneously.

  • Communicating progress to Manager and Stakeholders and ensuring timely escalations are occurring to prevent partnership launch delays or unexpected changes.

  • Continual review of objectives and ensuring the partnerships in the pipeline and or launched are supporting the Team direction and objectives; if they are not proposing recommended solutions to drive and support the Team direction and objectives.

  • Working with partners to forecast, measure and report results of projects, co-marketing events, business reviews with stakeholders, addressing escalations related to partnerships and overall support and management of partnership. 

  • Building relationships with key decision makers: Develop relationships with key influencers and decision-makers, along with internal stakeholders and working teams to develop business plans that exceed expectations.

  • Become and expert in the management of International Marketplace Partnerships and a go-to for internal and Market Teams.

  • Assisting or leading non-partnership specific initiatives as needed, such as managing projects or tasks related to P&L for the Team, analyzing revenue and financial models, process improvement initiatives and more.

  • Continuously improve the process for launching and managing partnerships by recommending and incorporating lessons learned.

  • Thinking creatively: Explore and innovate! Develop and test new partnerships or services that create shared value for sellers, customers, and Walmart.

  • Being a part of a fun, fast-paced team that works hard and delivers results!
