The Senior Manager II, Strategic Initiatives, Sustainability will support our Home and Apparel Business Units to develop and implement sustainable practices addressing Climate, Nature, Waste, and People in our supply chain and product assortment. 

You’ll make an impact by:

• Implementing Walmart's strategic initiative strategy within Home and Apparel by collaborating with company business owners, suppliers, and external influencers (for example, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government officials, academics); and ensuring Walmart's reputation and advocacy goals are enhanced and fulfilled through company strategic initiative efforts.
• This position is considered as the Business Lead to Executive Merchandising GMM’s & DMM’s and Sourcing to integrate strategic initiative efforts into cross-functional (for example, Walmart U.S. Merchandising and Operations, International, Sam's Club) business plans, objectives, and overall business strategy by educating stakeholders on the benefits of strategic initiatives. 
• Leading projects using internal and external resources to develop company strategic initiatives by facilitating the collaboration of business units to identify and promote strategic initiative projects requiring financial support.
• Managing the measurement and reporting of financial and non-financial (for example, improved environmental & social KPI’s) company strategic initiative outcomes by working with other business units (for example, Finance, Merchandising) to create and maintain reports for tracking the benefit of strategic initiative projects; and partnering with multiple departments on incorporating Every Day Low True Cost and financial implications into business plans and budgets.
• Serving as corporate spokesperson for strategic initiatives by developing and delivering strategic initiative messaging; participating in interviews with national and local media outlets; and presenting at conferences and speaking events.
• Assisting department leadership in the development of innovative global strategic initiative strategies by benchmarking across internal business units and external companies; researching and analyzing source information to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and environmental impact; and coordinating efforts (for example, non-governmental organization (NGO) roundtables, cross-functional team meetings) to build support and policy for strategic initiatives and desired outcomes (for example, financial, social, environmental).

• You are a strong project manager and communicator to different audiences.

• You have the ability to build and implement a compelling theory of action leading to desired outcomes.
