Walmart Connect (WMC) is looking for an experienced data-driven media strategist, storyteller and marketing insights guru to partner with WMC Sales & Marketing to drive growth and excellence across the Food & Beverage categories and accounts.
As WMC's lead sales enablement strategist you will develop and oversee insights-driven strategic output, leading category partnerships with Sales and Marketing-within WMC and across the Walmart enterprise. You will own mining, synthesizing and interrogating category level data to develop omnichannel insights that inform the media & marketing strategies you will recommend that drive growth for Walmart Connect's brand partners. You will be an expert resource on uncovering new opportunities and developing strategies around the Walmart shopper, category, fulfillment channel and media channel and create go-to-market strategic recommendations for your assigned departments and categories. Through Sales, you will also drive a value-exchange and strategic alignment with Walmart category merchants-to help the organization deliver synchronously as one Walmart
This position sits under WMC Marketing and reports to the Director of Client Solutions - Food.

We're looking for an exceptionally ambitious, smart and strategic individual who is excited and capable of creating breakthrough customer-centered strategies to drive growth for Walmart Connect, Walmart and suppliers.
The ideal candidate has a proactive and consultative approach, brings deep industry, retail and media experience, is highly analytical and exceptionally articulate in crafting insights-driven strategies. They are self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Establish and drive a proactive and strong partnership and way of working with the WMC Sales team (Team Leads, Partner Managers and Client Partners) across your key categories and accounts to identify specific goals and needs; build, communicate and execute annual and quarterly roadmaps to deliver; and set, track and report key performance results that demonstrate value and business impact in quantifiable and qualitative terms.
Produce and oversee the development of category-specific insights-driven, actionable strategies that support the annual Sales strategy and link to WMC's core ad product, media and marketing solutions-landing on clear and compelling always-on, pulse, and integrated marketing recommendations that help WMC Sales pitch for investment and suppliers achieve goals. Meet deadlines and elevate output.
Become WMC's master strategist, empowering WMC Sales to drive internal and external partnerships and growth across key categories and accounts by:
Support Sales and contribute to Supplier JPB, QBR, Top-to-Top, Immersion Days, and "One Walmart" sessions.
Join Sales meetings and present material and insights directly to the Suppliers as the expert in the category.
Assess and seek input to make recommendations to reprioritize and gain alignment when necessary to deliver on goals and changing needs. Through this, demonstrate operational agility and excellence.
Consistently deliver a balance of analytical rigor and storytelling in every single output and communication, always being prepared to convey insights and influence with a strong point of view.
Collaborate with broader WMC marketing teams such as brand marketing to highlight category or seasonal insights within external communications.
Has the ability to blend analytical skillset with creative-strategic thinking.
Demonstrate a spirit of partnership, collaboration, and operational agility and excellence.

Have an eye for detail and a mind for strategy.
Relevant bachelor's degree for this role. MBA or advanced-level academic degree strongly preferred.
Minimum 8 years of experience specifically focused on strategy-driven media/marketing sales enablement, digital or e-commerce media, strategic planning or performance marketing-brand, supplier, agency or media side.
At least 4 years of experience managing, coaching and motivating direct reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A balance of right brain, left brain: Being highly analytical, curious by data and articulate in connecting insights to strategies that demonstrate creativity and have a compelling story arc and narrative.
THE BONUS - STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant retail and media experience in the context of insights-driven digital media and marketing strategy, as well as ecommerce. Sales enablement strongly preferred.
Relevant experience working within the media arm of an omnichannel or e-commerce retailer.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 1 year's experience in marketing or related field OR 5 years' experience in marketing or related field.
