The Senior Manager of Health & Wellness Marketing Strategy is a critical thought-leadership role that uses a customer-centric analytical approach to build the perception of Walmart as a health and wellness destination. As a key member of the business’s strategic team, you will work alongside some of the best minds in retail and healthcare. Reporting to the Senior Director of Health & Wellness Marketing, you’ll collaborate with your business partners in researching, planning, executing, and measuring multi-channel marketing campaigns that tell an authentic, compelling story and drive demand and perception of Walmart’s brand in the health & wellness space.
You’ll make an impact by:
· You’re a collaborative leader who has a passion for being customer-centric and working in a matrixed organization to deliver on campaign and business objectives.
· You know digital marketing, campaign management, and have strong communication skills.
· You’re familiar with health care marketing, retail strategy, pharmacy, and/or B2B marketing.
· Developing Marketing Strategy & Initiative Implementation- Tests new consumer concepts and leverages multicultural customer insights and analytics to provide input into new marketing or service strategies in support of the Health & Wellness and Over the Counter business units. Manages all aspects of a large, complex initiatives or campaigns.
· Creative Brief Development- Develops creative briefs for a large, complex initiative/campaign (e.g., Back to School, holiday, etc.). Reviews target audience, objectives, budget, measurement plans, and timelines for all initiatives within the campaigns.
· Media Planning and Strategy Development - Drafts media investment strategy to optimize marketing spends and value (e.g., drive customers to the appropriate channels for the lowest cost to Walmart). Recommends new performance metrics to test effectiveness of existing or new marketing channels. Recommends allocation of AOP budget into various media components based on strategy, customer insights and external trends. Fosters relationships with key contacts at media channels.
· Budget Management – Prioritizes, monitors, and enforces complex campaign budgets and resolves concerns to ensure fiscal discipline aligned to overall marketing strategy. Approves budget tradeoffs and reallocation based on knowledge of other marketing/branding priorities/initiatives. Researches and suggests performance-based marketing opportunities and associated plans (e.g., app install programming).
