As a Software Engineer III part of Sam’s Front Engineering team, you will be responsible for enhancing existing Associate facing mobile applications to provide new features to our club associates. You will collaborate with cross-functional software and quality engineers by building best in class mobile solutions to tackle complex problems.

What you’ll do:

• Build plug and play reusable components that can be leveraged across the organization.
• Build and write unit test cases using jest, enzyme react-native library or any new framework.
• Primarily responsible for delivering code for the product requirements in a fast-paced agile scrum environment
• Participates in small to medium-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes
• Works with a group of associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples; and performing design and code reviews of changes
• Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues
• Provides support to the business by responding to user's questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
• Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Your Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience building customizable, reusable and dynamic components using ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, JavaScript, ES6, Typescript, HTML, CSS and NodeJS
• 1+ years of hands-on experience building React Native apps (Native iOS or Android).
• Familiarity with OOP design principles
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Experience in any of the following automation testing tools like Jest/Enzyme/Appium/Detox
• A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment
• Experience with project build with CICD pipelines through Jenkins, understanding of deterministic functional testing, End to End automation.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
