Sr. Software Engineer - Javascript, HTML5, CSS, React, AngularJS, Vue

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart's Item & Supply Chain Technology (CSIS) services is responsible for enabling the core services and systems that support our partners to setup Catalog at scale to be sold thru various Walmart Selling channels both online and in stores in the eCommerce environment, and to provide a friction-less buying experience for customers with high confidence based on high quality product content. Walmart is investing in transforming these spaces with the latest technology and we are looking for a talented individual who can use their engineering and leadership skills to help our teams solve complex problems. As a contributor of the Catalog Management Tools team, you'll help in design and development of products and platforms in this space. You will be part of the application development team which primarily focuses on software design and implementation, problem solving, leading consistency across our team in quality standards, ensuring everyone adhere to architecture principles, research and propose creative ideas that allows our teams to solve problems faster and provide engineering efficiency as they work with our customers to deliver world-class software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Innovate and drives technical vision and influences product roadmap and vision

• Design and develop in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects

• Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design

• Collaborate with cross-functional groups of engineers, including offshore associates

• Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues

• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

• Supports business objectives and ensures the business needs are being met

• Develop components and modules that add to the pool of re-usable, and platform capabilities for the UI teams.

• Work on cutting edge Javascript based technologies to develop maintainable, performant, and elegant features in an Agille, incremental fashion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
• 6+ years of experience in eCommerce Software development
• 5+ years of programming experience in architecting highly scalable & performing Web Applications
• 5+ years of programming experience using Javascript ES6, React+Redux, NodeJs, HTML,CSS,REST, Web Services
• 2+ years of developing / architecting high transaction high throughput systems is a must
• 4+ years of experience with Open Source technologies
• 4+ years of developing / architecting high transaction high throughput systems is a must
• 3+ years of experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model

Skillsets:

Front End,REST, Javascript ES6, React+Redux, NodeJs, HTML,CSS

Manager's Ideal Candidate Must-Haves

• Excellent communication, timeliness and a desire to write clean, organized code

• Experience with Javascript

• Experience with Web Development in general

• NodeJS ecosystem expertise, including API development

• HTML, CSS, ES6 expertise

• Prior experience with large scale web applications

• React, Redux expertise

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• J2EE experience
• AngularJS 1.x
• Formal education in Computer Science.
