What you will do …

The Senior Data Scientist will provide strategic and analytic support for the product managers, business and operations teams and merchandising teams at Sam’s Club. Your goal is to use data and analyses to uncover problems and inform critical business decisions.

Challenges you’ll be tackling …

• You will use advanced analytics techniques to uncover valuable insights from data
• You’ll help identify opportunities and areas of improvement Sam’s Club In-Club Products
• You’ll partner with Sam’s club product managers, technology teams, merchandising teams and business teams to influence business strategy and solve complex problems
• You’ll be the go-to person for analysis and data for your product and business initiatives

Responsibilities…

• Collaborate with product managers and business leaders to uncover challenges in each line of business and create data-driven solutions
• Build compelling presentations that synthesize findings, explain story behind the numbers, and communicate actionable recommendations
• Measure the impact of various product features, business capabilities and deliver recommendations to business and product teams to assist in feature assessment
• Build prototypes and simulations using  Statistical Modeling as a proof of concept
• Build dashboards and reports to track various KPIs (product, sales and operational related)
• Use click-analytics to explore product usage patterns and recommend improvements
• Detect root causes of changes in metrics (sales, product and operational KPIs) and effectively communicate the results to various stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in an analytics or related field
