Position: Systems Analyst

Job Location: 10780 Parkridge Blvd, #70, Reston, Virginia 20191

Duties: Analyze systems or business processes to design solutions (for example, software, hardware) by meeting with Customers and end users; investigating business requirements and ongoing operations; reviewing solution pros and cons with team members and Customers; completing technical design aspects; and developing system and program specifications for Programmers and Programmer Analysts. Conducts business and technical impact analysis of proposed application changes by inspecting proposed changes (for example, code review, compliance with standards, quality checks); and suggesting testing standards and scenarios. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Information Systems Division (ISD)-Applications Development area and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet Customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Develops Associate capabilities by mentoring and teaching team members (for example, coding languages, scripts, documentation requirements, programming standards, DBMS technologies); and assigning tasks. Supports Information Systems Division (ISD) teams and applications by responding to complex business and technical problems; identifying and proposing solutions; assigning development to team members; and ensuring complete implementation. Participates, creates, and delivers communication on application solutions to diverse audiences (for example, management, Customers, suppliers, technical staff) by gathering required information; developing materials; and identifying recommendations. Participates on team projects by following Information Systems Development Life Cycle (ISDLC) processes; assisting with required technical resource allocation; testing and debugging complex programs and scripts; reviewing and recommending third-party software; and reviewing systems documentation.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in information technology or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Designing and implementing the web services using RESTful web services; Designing and implementing the Microservices using Spring Boot; Designing and implementing the asynchronous messaging using Kafka and Kafka Streams; Designing and implementing the portal front end user interfaces using ReactJS; Managing the application state using React-Redux; Designing and developing the mobile application user interfaces using Native React programming; Automating the tasks by implementing the Cron jobs using Python; Designing and implementing the parallel and asynchronous API calls, multi-threading using Object Oriented language Java8; Using AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technology for setting up, maintaining and evolving the cloud infrastructure of software applications; Designing and implementing the backend data base solutions using Cassandra; Using JUnit and Mockito testing frameworks for implementing the automated Unit test cases for the purpose of test driven development (TDD); Using JIRA agile tool for sprint planning, user story creation, retrospective and daily status updates and QA bug tracking; Using JENKINS for continuous deployment and integration; Using GIT for source code management and version control; Designing and Implementing the API automation scripts using Selenium; Using Splunk for searching and monitoring the application in production support; Using Spring for integrating the application with backend database; and Using Maven for project builds. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
