ELOQUII is a vertically integrated e-commerce destination for contemporary, fast fashion sizes 14-28. We bring trend-driven, feminine, polished fashion from the runways to our customer, working on a compressed design cycle and dropping new styles every week.

The Technical Designer, reporting to the VP, Technical Design, will facilitate the transition of product from design sketch/concept to final production. The Technical Designer collaborates with cross-functional partners to discuss all proper raw materials for both fit and functional intent with our business partners. Additionally, they are an expert, responsible for leading fit sessions on live models or mannequins, by working with Design to achieve design aesthetic and communicate fit/ balance to vendor partners, as well as leverage and develop key vendor relationship to support working efficiently and drive fit consistency.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares technical designs and specifications for products based on creative designs, drawings, or sketches for assigned product category.

• Collaborates with designers, production and other cross-functional teams within critical timelines to understand aesthetic and fit expectations and translate these expectations into patterns or schematics for use in the production process.

• Leads fit sessions for assigned categories and approves fit and/or construction changes.

• Prepare and ensure all fit samples are measured prior to each fittings

• Manage the workload and update & follow up the weekly tracking fit samples with vendors.

• Evaluate all fit samples include top of production garments to determine if in compliance of specifications, construction and fit to ELOQUII guidelines.

• Work with patternmaker to achieve both aesthetic and fit during both tech pack development and final approval stage.

• Works closely with vendors to ensure properly fit, balance, construction and paper corrections are communicated.

• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of technical design and as such provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to assigned direct report(s), thus helping build their skill set in an effort to elevate overall performance and continued growth.

Additional Qualification Include:

• Bachelor's degree of Technical Design and at least 4+ years of Technical Design Experience

• Plus-size experience is a plus

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Power point, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Outlook, flat patternmaking, and draping skills

• Understand sewing, garment construction and all the manufacturing machinery tools use in the factory

• Manage knits, woven tops and tailored jackets from development stage to top of production (TOP sample)

• Multi-task- working with development tech packs & production fit comments daily

• Excellent organization skills, highly accurate and a strong attention to detail

• Team Player- help other teams as well as take initiatives with side projects

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good eye for proportion and design aesthetic

• Must be goal oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

This role is temporarily remote due to COVID-19 and may be subject to return to a co-space located in New York, NY
