What you'll do...

Senior Manager II, Space Planning and Modular Development

In this role, you will be focused in on strategic planning (forecasting changing company needs), assessing business models, optimizing workflows and data analysis. Part visionary and part strategist, you’ll be the expert for your category and leverage the scale and access of the Walmart system to truly impact the business and the lives of millions of customers worldwide. Along the way, you’ll be guided by our deep-rooted culture with the support and tools you need to do your best work. 

What you'll do

  • Oversees multiple floor plan and modular execution teams by tracking accuracy of work product to end customer; reviewing incoming modular relays and project store floor plan issues and questions; analyzing issues to identify possible directional opportunities, communications, or process improvements; recommending and implementing solutions to issues and opportunities; collaborating with cross-functional teams to remedy escalated issues; and communicating best practices to cross-functional teams to improve future projects.
  • Directs the execution of modular check in, error resolution, and finalization processes by reviewing reports performing technical review and updates of planograms and floorplans; requesting and performing modifications as necessary; and entering store-specific floorplans and modulars into systems for stores.
  • Directs the continuous improvement for multiple floor plan and modular execution teams by identifying, sharing, and applying best practices across multiple teams; overseeing the process and accuracy of modular execution for multiple complex categories; identifying key learnings and insights relevant to other functions; providing recommendations to core teams; ensuring resolution on store requests; and capturing and conducting correction of errors from modular creation and store execution process.
  • Partners with business leaders by recommending corrective actions to maximize value of business results; influencing senior management and business partners to follow business impacting recommendations; synthesizing ongoing process data; developing recommendations based on impact analysis, influencing buying organizations to implement recommendations; and analyzing data to determine impact of existing strategies and processes.
  • Resolves space planning issues; collaborating with internal partners to identify solutions; communicating solutions to stores; and ensuring implementation of solutions. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
  • Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
