Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Ensures compliance with applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations and company polices by analyzing and interpreting reports and
quality controls; supporting the Walmart Health Center Administrator with quality concerns and reporting obligations under applicable state and
federal laws and regulations; overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews; developing and implementing action plans to improve
performance; providing training and guidance on the execution of company procedures and policies; and directing managers and associates
regarding Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance.
Supports the Walmart Health Center Administrator in ensuring the Walmart Health Center operates within guidelines established by Walmart
management team and in accordance with laws and regulations; maintaining processes and systems to drive excellence in the delivery of quality,
patient-centered care and improve overall patient satisfaction and experience; driving core pillars of Walmart Health (for example, quality healthcare
at everyday low prices, convenience, the healthcare journey, and access to quality care); responsible for Walmart Health Center communications,
policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, workflow, medical and office supplies, and associate relations; managing administrative/clinic staff (for
example, recruitment, hiring, orientation, retention, development, discipline).
Supports daily operations for multi-specialty service lines and functions within the Walmart Health Center; maintaining provider and staff scheduling
templates and patient schedules for current and future service lines; supporting multi-provider primary care practice that includes lab and radiology;
supporting 5+ chair state-of-the-art dental practice that provides same-day crowns with digital workflow with 3D CT scanning technology; supporting
behavioral health counseling practice that includes in-person and telehealth sessions; supporting audiology practice; supporting optometry practice
according to applicable state requirements (for example one-door versus two-door state); supporting community health worker program that connects
patients with community resources; coordinating and supporting community activity room utilization; coordinating with and supporting insurance
agents in insurance room; supporting associates with their workforce associate scheduling; and coordinating workforce support that meets the patient
demand and needs.
Resolves administrative patient issues when the Health Center Administrator is not present; resolving problems or issues patients have with clinic
systems, policies, or staff; identifying and resolving administrative issues/concerns; serving as the stakeholder champion for developing and
maintaining a service culture for the health center to improve the experience of our patients and other key customer groups.
Supports the Health Center Administrator with policy and standard operation procedure development and coordination by understanding and
identifying issues; directing internal communication strategies to ensure understanding of policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices;
overseeing the development of policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and
industry standards; updating policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices to meet changing regulatory requirements and industry
standards; collaborating with quality assurance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and ensuring policy, standard
operating procedures, and best practices are aligned with other areas in Health and Wellness and the overall organizational strategy.
Maintains relationships with health care providers and Walmart Health Center associates to ensure the Walmart Health Center is a preferred
employer by creating a culture focused on delivering quality health care; overseeing relationships and partnering with key stakeholders for all service
lines; understanding the scope of health care professions and changes in health care; dedicating time to meet with professionals and discuss their
business; affording associates and managers time for continuing education; and being responsive to the needs of health care professionals.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs through direction and feedback from the
Walmart Health Center Administrator; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact
performance, providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and supporting the Walmart Health Center Administrator in
performance discussions and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Supports the day-to-day managerial oversight of associates within the Walmart Health Center; supporting the Health Center Administrator with
supervision and associate development by selecting and training associates; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition and rewards;
coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Supports the oversight that business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives;
consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders across all service lines; soliciting, evaluating, and applying
suggestions for improving efficiency and cost- effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy;
and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other
business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and
recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
