Walmart is looking to hire a Manager I of Tax who will work on our indirect tax compliance team covering sales, use and product taxes. Candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting including the preparation and review of journal entries. This individual will successfully prepare and analyze data, review prepared tax returns and supporting workpapers for tax returns covering all of Walmart’s domestic entities which encompass brick and mortar retail, ecommerce, distribution, wholesale, transportation, services, etc. The ideal candidate will have no less than three-years of sales/use/excise tax experience. Experience should also include familiarity with various tax engine software (Vertex, Avalara) and ERP systems such as SAP (S4 Hana experience is a plus). Looking for someone who enjoys working as a team to accomplish goals, has a positive attitude and is always curious to learn.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 1 year’s experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related
area OR 3 years’ experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related area.
