What you'll do...

As a Manager II, in Last Mile Delivery - Network Operations you will work and grow as a team, leveraging your natural curiosity and inventive problem-solving talents to anticipate the needs of our customers and drivers. We provide the access to the tools and support you need to be your best version. This is that place. This is Walmart. Last Mile Delivery works on fulfilling customer demand for everything in the store at the comfort of the home. We want our customers to have every option available to shop for their needs: wherever, whenever, and however they want it. We are leveraging technology we have within our company and managing partnerships as needed to give our customers the convenience they want when shopping. Our Last Mile Delivery programs are a critical part of our business, as a Manager II, Operations, you will collaborate with a high-energy team to build new products, processes, and services to fulfill the last mile delivery space that will scale across the country. You’ll sweep us off our feet if

  • You have experience in Field Ops/Last Mile Delivery/Process Design/Project Management
  • You have a deep knowledge of the gig industry and the marketplace economy
  • You have expert analytical and deductive reasoning skills
  • You are action oriented with strong execution skills
  • You are able to tell a story with data to convince stakeholders of a decision
  • You’re comfortable influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly
  • You’re comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • You’re structured in your thinking process and have strong problem-solving skills

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Manages one or more work streams for the operations organization by designing project plans ; organizing project timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving stakeholder teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; recommending appropriate operational processes ; developing and managing project requests and timelines by establishing project requirements; communicating project status, details, timelines, and available resources; planning and executing resource allocation; finalizing, approving, and delivering projects; taking corrective action as necessary to drive project results; communicating project plans and deliverables to key stakeholders ; identifying root causes and developing potential solutions for initiatives; and making recommendations based on data and observation .Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives
  • Helping stakeholders prioritize and track short term and long-term driver engagement initiatives
  • Promoting team culture by engaging in activities that support company values, culture, diversity, learning and development

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 – 6 years of experience in areas of operations management and/or business strategy at a fast-growing tech company/start-up or management consulting at a top-tier firm
  • Led development and completion of framework related to systems integrations, training guides, marketing, escalation ingestion, system outage, process guides.
  • Project Management - Project Management Professional – Certification
  • Operations management experience within the gig industry
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong experience with Tableau, Confluence, JIRA, Looker
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 3 years of experience in an Operations, Project Management, Strategy or related position
    OR 5 years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Business Strategy or related area.
  • Experience in building and implementing processes from scratch
  • Ability to create and adapt presentations to the relevant audience
