About the Team

As a part of the Walmart Global Tech – Marketplace team, you will play a key role in the development and expansion of our global marketplace platform.  You will work with a team of product managers and business-minded individuals to develop key capabilities needed to support the future growth of the Walmart portfolio.  Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will play an important role in the company’s success, with a huge opportunity for personal and professional growth. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative and strategic thinker, analytical, results-oriented and has excellent cross functional collaboration skills.  You’re a highly motivated self-starter with a strong understanding of building platform products, marketplaces, and a passion for understanding the competitive landscape.  You’re an excellent communicator, building strong cross-functional relationships including Strategy Team, User Experience, Project Managers, Business Product managers, Engineering, and Analytics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with partner teams across multiple locations so communication, collaboration, and organization are key to your success
  • Providing expertise on the market and competition and predicting market opportunities. Setting product objectives and key performance indicators
  • Developing and enhancing a product family by developing and managing product roadmaps and gathering, developing, documenting requirements
  • Crafting and developing solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners (i.e., business leaders, User Experience, Engineering, Analytics) and engaging with them to deliver and support initiatives. Communicating status and insights related to product performance and securing buy-in from executive-level leadership
  • Communicating product roadmaps and priorities and collaborating across product areas for roadmap prioritization including, engaging with key partners to determine the best product and business strategies and gaining buy-in from executive-level leadership
  • Driving execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs and developing and communicating business plans and priorities. Removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources and identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning
  • Considering technical architecture and implementation; collecting and analyzing customer and product data; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives; defining user and business acceptance criteria and roll out strategy; managing risks and dependencies
  • Seeking patents to protect innovative ideas and products and prioritizing product backlog
  • Promoting and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by way of training and providing direction to others in their use and application and ensuring compliance and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy
  • Ensuring business needs are met by evaluating ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced technical degree preferred)
  • Min of 5+ years of relevant work in technical product management, owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple technology teams.
