With a huge eCommerce success powered by a well-executed Omni Channel strategy of selling merchandise online with curbside pickup supported by the fact that 90% of the United States population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart store, supports the widely accepted notion that Walmart is positioned to be the world leader in omni channel retail. Walmart has a heavy commitment to technology investment, and it makes every sense that now is the opportune time to join Walmart Global Technology Finance.

Walmart Technology Finance is seeking a strategic, solid, analytical, confident and knowledgeable finance professional to join the Walmart Global Technology Finance team as a Senior Manager ll, Strategic Finance, Global Technology Finance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of the Walmart Technology Finance Team supporting the Walmart Global Technology organization. You will think strategically, partner with various technology business teams and procurement to dive deep, explore and mine for hidden value in the technology space. We are looking for a strong, smart and strategic thinking technology-oriented finance professional who can "explore and mine the deeper parts of the land versus just farm on it". You will have a unique opportunity to wear a strategic finance hat, with heightened curiosity and bias for action and work cross-functionally with various teams to investigate processes, contracts, portfolios, public and private cloud usage, etc. You will have the unique opportunity to identify savings, recommend and help implement mechanisms and tools and establish enduring and sustainable cost-efficiency processes which will ensure these mechanisms will last and scale with the business. You will partner with engineering, products teams, other finance teams, procurement etc to put in place mechanisms and tools to help provide visibility in asset management, total cost of ownership, contracts, tech licenses, technology product costing, tech product profitability, public cloud and overall IT resource usage and scaling analysis and create financial modeling and manage ad hoc requests.

As a member of the Walmart Technology Finance Team, the successful candidate must be a go-getter, have project management skills and experience, be able to wear many hats, work with other finance team, engineering, procurement, and other teams as needed. She/he must be flexible and carry a can-do attitude and should not be afraid to mistakes. The candidate must be proficient, conduct rigorous analysis and be able to see the bigger picture, have an informed point of view and become a proactive partner to the many engineering and business teams. She/he must be able to communicate effectively with senior leaders, think multi-dimensional and deliver detailed and insightful analysis that will help in critical decision making.

Strong candidates will be comfortable with large amounts of data, able to deal with ambiguity, be detailed and accurate, be organized and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to partner effectively with business units and must have a strong and actionable desire to be promoted to a director. This person will also go beyond a traditional finance role by being a thought partner with their product counterparts, owning and driving the agenda in their area of responsibility, look for cost savings opportunities, and improve accuracy of reporting.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Being able to be strategic and think outside the box and have the third and forth eye to identify opportunity and have the tenacity to pursue them to successful completion.

  • Experience project/program management skills. Familiarity and comfortability with large data sets and being able to utilize technology to automate and streamline processes. Eliminate manual work and create tools and mechanisms to help solve big picture initiatives. You will have a passion for improving existing processes and be able to work across teams to achieve results.

  • If needed, be able to create and implement technology asset and workload P&L reporting, financial forecasting, annual operating plan, and long-range plan by partnering with various stakeholders to accomplish overall cost management goals.

  • Decision Support - Develop and implement big picture initiatives, working cross-functionally with the business unit teams and track progress versus projections. Provide feedback to leadership regarding risks and opportunities associated with strategic initiatives and insight on relevant historical trends, expected future outcomes, and industry trends.

  • Communications and Presentations - Provides analytical input for business decisions by creating and implementing complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications...
