Overview

Are you passionate about using big data to create value in high-impact roles? Walmart Connect (WMC) Finance is hiring a Senior Manager II of Business Intelligence to drive growth in one of Walmart's most dynamic businesses: Walmart Connect. In this role you will be an end-to-end owner of large datasets and will rely on your data visualization, storytelling, and financial acumen skills to surface actionable insights that solve complex business problems and shape the future of retail and retail media.

The ideal candidate will have a dual passion for both business intelligence and corporate finance and have the expertise to harness big data in the most powerful of ways.

Primary Responsibilities

• Be an inspirational champion of data for WMC Finance and establish a foundational data culture for the team

• Partner with key stakeholders across WMC and Finance to source, document, and translate user requirements into an actionable BI product roadmap with a bias towards business value creation

• Build common data models in Power BI to be used by both business and finance user groups to observe business opportunities, orient leadership teams, decide amongst tradeoffs, and implement actions in ways that create value for WMC

• Partner with finance teams to analyze existing operational processes and identify opportunities to streamline or automate

• Develop an ecosystem of high-impact, automated, reports

• Lead taxonomy standardization and streamline key hierarchies across Walmart Connect Finance

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Or, alternatively, possess 7 + years of professional experiencing working directly with big datasets and corporate finance

• 5 + years of business intelligence and / or analytics experience

• 2 + years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or another related financial field

• Expert proficiency in all facets of Power BI

• Experience with data pipeline design, master data management, reporting, data warehousing, data modeling, and table design

• Advanced SQL, VBA, M, and DAX skills

• Experience working with third party Power BI tools, including Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, and DAX Studio

• Experience working with Google Big Query

• Knowledge of Microsoft Tools and Systems

• Desire to work in a fast-paced and, at times, challenging environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .Net, PowerShell, and Power Automate

• Experience with preparing forecasts with statistical programming (e.g. R, Stata, SAS, Python Pandas)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working with Machine Learning models

• Experience working in and across large cross-functional organizations

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area. 1 year's experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
