- Research and resolve tax accounting issues and draft supporting memoranda, including the following:
- Interim reporting
- Intra-period allocations
- Valuation allowances
- Equity investments
- Business combinations, dispositions, and joint ventures
- Uncertain tax positions
- Outside basis differences
- Foreign currency issues
- Assist coordinating global tax planning, transactional, and compliance efforts; support new business initiatives/launches by analyzing tax accounting implications
- Assist in preparation and presentation of technical training to audiences including tax associates, controllership, and foreign market teams
- Report and communicate planning and results directly to tax and finance executive leadership
- Coordinate and communicate directly with other executive leadership across the business including foreign market tax teams, controllership, technical accounting, and FP&A
- Assist with tax SOX related documentation and support
- Support global tax accounting and reporting team regarding technical matters
- Assist coordinating global tax technology transformational efforts relating to tax reporting
- Assist coordinating with local-country tax teams to resolve tax technical issues
- Participate in and/or lead global finance initiatives
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Assist as needed in the review and oversight of global tax accounting and reporting, including calculating the effective tax rate, current and deferred tax provisions, taxes payable and related disclosures; Assist in the global tax forecasting of the effective tax rate
Minimum Qualifications
5 years experience leading cross-functional projects
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 4 years experience in income tax accounting or related field OR 6 years experience in income tax accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 year of supervisory experience
- 7+ years of experience in income tax accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Public accounting or large public company experience
- Experience with Onesource Tax Provision software
- Experience with IAS 12
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
