As a Senior Quality Engineer you will:
Create product quality strategies by reviewing the Information System Division (ISD) architecture, strategic direction for technology, and current business requirements; and recommending quality assurance (QA) workflow tools to support QA processes and best practices, reduce risk, and improve productivity.
Manage supplier relationships to achieve desired project results by reviewing project work and objectives with supplier during project execution; communicating supplier project resource needs to leadership team; partner with supplier leadership to resolve any issues or concerns on project progress, or satisfaction with services provided; work with team leads to ensure supplier services are delivered.
Provide leadership within the Quality Assurance (QA) team by ensuring the use of QA best practices; communicating plans, direction, and expectations of product quality to product managers and multiple teams participating in projects; delivering presentations on best practices and project results to project stakeholders; and ensuring conflict resolution between project teams.
Provide project management for projects within quality assurance (QA) area by approving and supporting QA techniques to achieve quality objectives; supporting the resolution of all critical or high priority issues, and ensuring medium to low priority issues are being resolved by the assigned team member; establishing the prioritization of issue correction to ensure a projects timely completion; escalating product issues and risks; and approving test plan and creating product QA strategies to meet product standards.
Participate in events to provide stakeholders with information regarding quality and to improve the department's knowledge of the business, business process requirements, and future needs by developing working relationships with the stakeholders; collaborating with peers to create a consistent message about projects from within the Information Systems Division (ISD) to build and maintain confidence in support provided by ISD.
Support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Keys to success in this role include:
5+ years of experience in Software Development, Automation Testing and Software Deployment.
Development experience in at least one programming languages like Java, Python, C# etc.
Experience using any of the automation toolset like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, HP QTP/UFT, etc. and CI/CD tools like docker, Jenkins, etc. or equivalent tools
Solid working knowledge in Databases like Oracle, MySQL, etc., Rest Services and Event Driven Systems
Huge proponent of Cloud Technologies with a mindset to champion cloud cost savings and reduce cloud wastage.
Natural problem solver with a passion for driving solutions and working with other developers to enable test automation and Continuous integration, enjoy executing projects successfully and obsess about product quality constantly
Unique ability to design and develop automated tests as well as functionality to build solutions to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives
