Staff Software Engineer - iOS, Android, React Native

Walmart's Global Tech Mobile Platform group is responsible for building common components and tools for developing iOS and Android applications using Native, React Native technology. We work with all the teams across Walmart to help accelerate their mobile application development so they can deliver business goals faster with consistent and proven engineering patterns and practice.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, who will be responsible for working with a team of 3-4 to build the mobile platform for Walmart Global Tech. We need someone with Native iOS, Android, and React Native mobile application development & CI/CD experience. You should be well versed with the knowledge of iOS and Android architecture. You will drive technical requirement discussions, evaluate solutions, and build software libraries, tools, CICD pipelines and documents for developing business critical applications.

• You are experienced with Android & iOS build systems.

• You are experienced with deploying packages/artifacts to the npm registry/Maven Central.

• You are experienced with Android mobile development in Java, Kotlin.

• You are experienced with iOS mobile development in Swift and Objective-C.

• You are experienced with React Native for iOS and Android.

• You are knowledgeable with general web development, node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.

What you'll do...

• Build and develop Android/iOS and React Native components for mobile application development.

• Work on a TypeScript React Native platform that's used by teams at Walmart.

• Work with mobile developers to identify technical requirements and defects and implement solutions for them.

• Explore and research patterns, designs, technologies, and bring them to the mobile platform.

• Part of a team to architect & implement CICD process, pipeline for the various mobile application platforms

• Support to maintain an open-source platform built using React Native.

• Write technical and design documents and review them with multiple teams to validate their feasibility.

What you'll bring...

• Experience in Android, iOS mobile application CI/CD (end-to-end). Have worked with enterprise level mobile applications and built extensive CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in building native mobile application in Android with Java, Kotlin.

• Experience in building native mobile application in iOS with Swift and Objective-C.

• Experience in building mobile and web user applications with JavaScript/TypeScript using React and React Native.

• Experience working with product, business, and UX Design teams to deliver solutions.

• Strong people and communication skills to connect authentically with stakeholders and application developers.

• A constant desire to improve, learn more, and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest industry best practices.

engineering or related field.
